Zoe-perry
Perry is born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two episodes in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. In fear of stress, her parents didn't want to see performing before turning 18. Perry was shy in high-school and was not a performer. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry began her career in New York after graduation, performing in minor roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry return to California and pursue a career as a theater actress. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother on Broadway in 2013 She performed with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a part in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017, she was a part-time character in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal in which her father was the main character. That same year her character was cast a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger character of her mom's role. The character was chosen via auditions though she had a close connection with it.
